How to distinguishing an Origine 22.05 from an Origine 22.06

Norm 22.06 has come into effect and is here to stay.

Helmets essentially undergo stricter tests, both in terms of impact type and quantity of impacts.

The Origine brand has always been a benchmark in mid-range helmet safety. It's difficult to find helmets that are as safe at such prices. That's why 22.05 models can pass the 22.06 certification with minimal modifications. Hence, there are Strada, Primo, Vega, Alpha, Palio, and Delta models with both 22.05 and 22.06 certification.

The differences in the helmets are minimal, mainly a slightly increased weight due to reinforcement in key areas. This means that the VISORS ORIGINE HELMET and ORIGINE HELMET MECHANISMS are the same in both 22.06 and 22.05 models.

However, there have been significant variations in the interiors, and the interiors of ORIGINE HELMET inner paddings E22.05 DO NOT FIT in E22.06 models.

On the back of the helmet, there is a sticker that indicates whether the helmet is E2205 or E2206; check it to know your exact model. If the sticker is not present, please contact us, and to expedite the process, send us a photo of the white label with numbers and letters sewn near the chin strap buckle of the helmet.

Please keep this in mind. This information is written in non-technical language so that anyone can understand it, and it includes simple explanatory photographs. Additionally, you can reach out to us in case of any doubts. Under no circumstances will we accept returns due to the interior replacement not being valid for a helmet model. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure this, and if in doubt, they should consult us or visit an authorized dealer. Please note that in such cases, the return costs will be borne by the customer, and the original shipping expenses will not be refunded.
